Take me out - Casa Rodena

July 29th, 2008 by Admin

Okay, it’s a given, I have expensive taste! But I also have a very down to earth side of me too. I love hanging out alone at home. I also thrive on entertaining in my home……….at any capacity. Wether it be for a tantra-ssage, an ice breaker, or 2-hours of bliss, or the date without the hassles. Or even an all day rendezvous or an overnighter, I love having company from interesting men! I just don’t have that many friends in ABQ, other than clients. I do miss that about Denver. I was always the social butterfly in the escorting arena there.

I have written about the winery, Casa Rodena, and how impressed I am with the place. Besides, it is really close to home. I want to attend one of their special events on August 10th. See below. http://casarondena.com/content.asp?CustComKey=326840&CategoryKey=326845&pn=Page&DomName=casarondena.com

Festival de Música Rondeña

Sunday, August 10, 2008

Sunday, August 17, 2008

Join us for the 5th Annual Festival de Música Rondeña! This is a unique opportunity to delight in classical music, savor award winning Casa Rondeña wines and indulge in fine cuisine. Music Director Maestro Figueroa and violinist Valerie Turner, along with some of America’s finest musicians, will perform an array of chamber music listed below. The evening will begin with appetizers and wine in the vineyard at 6p, followed by the concert and a candlelight dinner in the garden.

Music Directors Maestro Figueroa and violinist Valerie Turner, along with some of America’s finest musicians, will perform an array of chamber music selections. Guest artists include:

  • Jerry Grossman, cello - Principal Cello, Metropolitan Opera
  • Jesus Morales, cello - Former Principal Cello, Puerto Rico Symphony
  • Ivonne Figueroa, piano - Renowned Concert Artist & Professor, University of Puerto Rico
  • Narciso Figueroa, violin - Metropolitan Opera

Program - Sunday, August 10th

Dvorak - Quintet for Piano and Strings in A Major, Op. 81

Jesus Figueroa - Puerto Rican danzas

Sarasate Navarra - Spanish Dance for two violins and piano

So, would anyone like to accompany to this event? Or will I have to go at it alone? I’m wondering what will the demographics be? Mostly couples and single women? Or a few single men and a few single women, and mostly couples? What age group do you think will attend? It’s pricey, at $150 per person, so I know that will draw a more affluent and sophisticated crowd. Ahhh, the kind of crowd I can blend it with easily! A couple of people have mentioned taking me to the Santa Fe Opera, but that has not materialized either. Maybe I’ll have to go with my friends A&B, or damn it, just go alone! When I am out and about at social functions and people ask what I do for a living, I always say I am a marketing research consultant for start up companies. If people press me for more information, “I say I specialize in the spa and boutique hotel industry but cannot disclose any further information about my business due to privacy issues of my investors”. One time, I got a little bold and said I teach couples how to be better lovers! Now that was a conversation starter at the table! I won’t do that again.
